Which documents do you need?

  • Title deed and registration in the land registry or cadastre (Ktimatologio)

  • Your Greek tax number (AFM) and proof that your taxes are in order

How does a sale in Greece work?

After agreeing on the price, the sale is signed as a deed before a Greek notary, who checks the documents. Both parties are usually assisted by their own lawyer. The deed is then registered with the cadastre.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell my house in Greece without an estate agent?

Yes. A notary is required for the deed, an agent is not.

Do I need to travel to Greece?

Not necessarily. Many owners abroad sign through a power of attorney. We help you organise the steps.
