You agree a price with the buyer, usually with a private reservation or deposit contract (contrato de arras). The sale is completed by signing the deed before a Spanish notary (notario), after which it is registered. If you are not a Spanish tax resident, the buyer withholds part of the price for the tax office, so plan your tax return in advance.

Not necessarily. Many owners who live abroad sign through a power of attorney (poder notarial). We help you organise the steps from a distance.
Usually capital gains tax and the municipal plusvalía tax. Non-resident sellers have a withholding by the buyer. Ask a Spanish tax adviser for your exact situation.
